What's on in Kyoto

Kyoto events in March 2027

32 events in March 2027: 8 exhibitions, 7 gardens, 6 festivals, 6 illuminations, 2 anime and games events, 2 performances and 1 food event, from headline festivals to neighbourhood fairs. 26 of them are annual events whose 2027 dates are still to be confirmed, listed with their usual window.

Kitano Tenmangu's plums carry on into March. The cherry trees usually open in the last week (the Meteorological Agency's average for Kyoto is 26 March), so if you're coming in late March, you're betting on the forecast. More on the season in Cherry blossoms in Kyoto.
