Yuwado is a small gelato shop at the west entrance to Shimogamo Shrine. Everything's made in the shop's own kitchen, with seasonal fruit from Kyoto's central wholesale market or straight from the growers, no colourings and no eggs. The plain milk and cream gelato has been the bestseller since it opened in 2019.
Insider tip
It's closed on Wednesdays, and it posts any other closures on its site. The Shimogamo-jinja-mae bus stop is right outside.
